Should I set up on the mainland or in a free zone?
It depends on where your customers are. If you'll sell directly to customers across the UAE, open a shop or bid for government work, mainland is usually right. If you trade internationally, run a consultancy or want lower set-up overheads, a free zone often fits better. Our jurisdiction finder gives you a first answer in three questions.
Does my business need to register on goAML?
If you operate in a designated sector (real estate brokerage, precious metals and stones, accounting and audit, legal services or corporate services), you are generally expected to register on goAML, appoint a compliance officer and keep a written AML programme. Use our compliance check or speak to us for a definite answer.
Can you handle everything after the licence is issued?
Yes. Visas, Ejari, VAT and corporate tax registration, customs client code, trademark filing, product certification and annual renewals are all handled by the same desk, with one account manager.
How do your fees work?
We research your requirements first, then quote. Single services are charged at a fixed fee, there are no hidden charges, and you can engage per service, as a launch package or on an annual retainer.
Which products need certification before sale in the UAE?
Many categories are regulated, including food and supplements, cosmetics and fragrances, electrical and electronic goods, toys, building materials, petroleum products, vehicle safety equipment and medical devices. We confirm which authority governs your product (MOIAT, ESMA, MOHAP, FANR or TDRA) and handle the registration.
